It started in 2009 when the first prototype of the DUODESK 60 saw the light of day. The fact that THE PERFECT piece of studio furniture was not available on the market prompted Arno Unterlass (#musician, #guitarist, #recording studio, #Vienna, #Austria) to design a table himself. It shouldn't be a standard material, but 38mm lacquered MDF and a palm rest covered with imitation leather - handcrafted. These criteria alone made things difficult, because production partners had to be found in Austria for the manufacture of all special parts.
Then everything happened quickly, and after the completion of the prototype and the publication on the Internet, the first customers got in touch and were overwhelmed by the design and the look of the table.
After a successful year “DUODESK 60” the development continued. A keyboard tray was needed. A full extension with ball bearings would probably have been the cheaper and simpler solution... - but that's not enough and it already exists ;). After several months, prototypes, special metal parts and visits from representatives of manufacturers of linear guides, the time had come: what was probably the most unique and powerful pull-out drawer for heavy keyboards had been developed and could be integrated into the structure of the DUODESK 60. No wobbling, no rocking, height adjustable AND lockable in any position. The DUODESK KEY 60 quickly became an absolute bestseller.
This was followed by the SINGLEDESK 40 and KEY 88... models tailored for customers, bridging the gap to cover all professional studio applications.
